travel thursday | ko lipe
alright, we're back to asia this week with a very brief post to wrap up thailand. ko lipe is the southernmost island on thailand's western coast, and we stopped there for a couple days so that we could cross into malaysia via ferry instead of bus (the border crossing between malaysia and thailand is notoriously dangerous). the island is full of backpacker bars and dive shops, so we took the opportunity to relax, drink and, you guessed it, dive. we had some great sea turtle sightings here, and the water was super clear (though nothing compared to what we had waiting for us in indonesia). I only snapped a handful of photos because we were in the water so much and I made a general rule not to leave my camera lying around on popular beaches...
this kid was so cute & comfortable leaping in and out of his father's boat and, evidently, surfing on the anchor, I couldn't stop snapping pics of him.
