Robert Michael Scheider popularly known as Rob Schneider was born in San Francisco, California on October 31, 1963, however, grew up in the suburb of Pacifica. He was the youngest child of Marvin Schneider, a real estate broker, and Pilar Schneider, a former kindergarten teacher and ex-school board president. He has two elder siblings, April and John Schneider. Rob comes from a mixed background. His grandma was a Filipina, while his grandfather was a white American.


Rob attended Terra Nova High School and passed out in 1982. He then enrolled at San Francisco State University. He was more interested in acting from childhood.

Rob kicked off his career doing stand-up comedy in San Francisco. In 1987, he made his debut appearance on television, on HBO’s 13th Annual Young Comedians special, hosted by comedian Dennis Miller. From 1990 to 1994, he was part of the NBC sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live.” He played the roles of “Tiny Elvis,” “Richard Laymer,” and “Orgasm Guy,” He is also featured in the video release “The Bad Boys of Saturday Night Live,” along with colleagues Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Chris Farley.

He played many supporting roles in a series of movies including Judge Dredd, Surf Ninjas, Down Periscope, Demolition Man, etc. In 1996, Rob co-starred in the NBC sitcom “Men Behaving Badly.” He released his directorial debut, the comedy ‘Big Stan’ in some overseas markets during the fall of 2008, but it was released in the U.S. in early 2009.
