Seth Aaron Rogen was born on April 15, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was born into a Jewish family of Ukrainian and Russian origin. He was born to Sandy Belogus and Mark Rogen. He has dual citizenship of Canada and America, however, he considers himself as Canadian because he grew up in Canada. He has an elder sister named Danya. At the age of twelve, he began his career in show business.


Rogen studied at Vancouver Talmud Torah Elementary School and Point Grey Secondary School. For 10 years, he practiced Kyokushin karate. He had a keen interest in comedy at an early age. So, he enrolled in a comedy workshop taught by Mark Pooley. He did not complete his studies, dropped out of high school, and started working for Apatow. Rogen moved to Los Angeles with his family. He then acted in Donnie Darko (2001) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). For this, he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination along with the show’s other writers. He owed too much to Judd Apatow for his success.
